In January 2025, the International Public Legal Services Association (IPLSA), along with several international and Hong Kong mediation and arbitration institutions, including IDRRMI, AALCO, and eBram, officially signed a memorandum of cooperation. They announced the joint organization of a "High-end Legal Talent Training Program for Foreign-related Legal Services" starting in the first quarter of 2025. This collaboration aims to cultivate high-end talents in foreign-related legal services with an international perspective and professional capabilities for the Greater Bay Area, contributing to regional rule of law construction and international development.
IPLSA founder Ho Kwan-yiu stated, "We are very pleased to achieve this important cooperation. This collaboration with several international and local institutions not only marks another milestone in our promotion of legal public services but also injects new momentum into the cultivation of legal talent in the Greater Bay Area. We look forward to providing more international and professional learning opportunities for legal professionals in the region through this training program."
The training program will cover core areas such as international arbitration, cross-border mediation, and foreign-related legal practice, inviting renowned legal experts from both domestic and international backgrounds to teach. The goal is to enhance participants' practical skills and competitiveness in international legal matters, aiming to deliver at least 450 high-quality foreign-related legal service talents to the Greater Bay Area by the end of 2025, further promoting regional legalization and internationalization processes.
This cooperation not only reflects the commitment of IPLSA and various institutions to promote legal public services but also lays a solid foundation for the rule of law construction and international development in the Greater Bay Area. We hope this training program will bring a positive impact on the legal services industry in the region and globally.
